Why Am I Starting a Blog?

So I just turned 23 last week. Anyone who’s ever asked or heard about whom my largest musical influences are, will know that Tristan Prettyman is it. She wrote an album when she was 23 based on, well, that very thing: that age, the crazy things happening in her life at the time, the strange ways the number would subtly show up.

With her being my biggest inspiration and myself being a fan of prime numbers for some strange reason, you can imagine that the number has taken on a symbolic meaning. And now I am here. And I have a lot of dreams and a whole world to find them in.. so I’m about to embark on a roadtrip with my brother across this lovely country in my ‘03 VW Jetta, 120 Thou miles and going strong (rock&roll!), and will eventually find myself settling somewhere along the coast of the Golden State, California.

To answer all of your questions - (Do I have a job lined up? Do I know anyone? Do I know where I’ll be living?) N-O, none of the above. And I almost like it better that way. What’s an adventure if you know what to expect?

Besides to let you all know that I’m still alive, I figured I’d start a blog to share bits and pieces from the road, whether it’s a funny sign, cool scenery, or even just the tunes we’re listening to in the car.

Even if we didn’t get to see each other that often this past year or so, if you are reading this, I probably miss you very much and would enjoy a quick tidbit of your life as well.. so don’t hesitate. I hope this very first blog finds all of you well.
